Born equal, live different

International Women’s Day

* International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
* International Women’s Day was celebrated for the first time by the United Nations in 1975. Then, in December 1977, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace to be observed on any day of the year by Member States, in accordance with their historical and national traditions.
* In celebration of International Women’s Day 2020, students from Bon Sauveur have created post cards that they have offered to all women from Bon Sauveur school but also each student has created a personal post card to his mother, grandmother, sister or friend. By this way they would like to thank to all women who have fighted for their rights. They consider also that women rights are better today but still far from being equal with men rights.
